NaturallySpeaking - Basic Command

Updated 10/18/02

Purpose
Identify the basic commands necessary to use NaturallySpeaking .effectively  This list is a small fraction of the commands that are available, but it does include the commands that can effectively accomplish 99% of the basic tasks required to dictate and navigate using NaturallySpeaking for most users..

Note:
Select-and-Say compatible commands
Some commands are available only in Select-and-Say enabled applications .  These commands are noted by a colored box.  Select-and-Say enabled applications include MS Word, Word Perfect, the Dragon Pad, and others.  To determine if an application is Select-and-Say enabled, try one of the Select-and Say commands -- if it works, the application is enabled!

Microphone Control
Go to Sleep
Puts the microphone in "Sleep" mode.  In Sleep mode, NaturallySpeaking will respond only to the command "Wake up".  This command is recognized very poorly when spoken as "Goda Sleep".
Wake Up
Takes Microphone out of  "Sleep" mode.
