Repeat Mis-recognition Errors

Updated 10/03/02
If NaturallySpeaking is continually mis-recognizing a specific word, one of two situations is usually being encountered
  1. NaturallySpeaking is consistantly mis-recognizing a word with a random selection of errors.
  2. NaturallySpeaking is consistantly mis-recognizing a word with 1 or 2 other words.

1. Random
Errors
This situation is usually associated with generally low accuracy.  The problem is that NaturallySpeaking can not hear what is being said.  There is likely a problem with the microphone placement or sound quality.  Try adjusting the microphone or testing the sound quality.
2. Confusion
between
2 (or 3) words
In this situation, NaturallySpeaking seems to always use the same wrong word.  This is generally caused because NaturallySpeaking has a poor pronunciation model for the word that it is writing, not the word you are saying.

Usually training both words will quickly resolve this problem
